Many of our travelers go for the yoga, others for the adventures (zip-lining, horseback riding, beach time, and/or river rafting), but the service day is also one of the most memorable. The itinerary is just a nice mix of activities that creates an experience of a lifetime. Your bungalow at Samasati lets you wake up to howler monkeys and view of the Caribbean.

PTY Foundation’s Girls for Success program in the heart of the rainforest in Costa Rica consists of 16 girls who come to our center to learn English, sewing, empowerment tools, and, most recently, computer skills.
A huge thanks goes to 16 donors who provided the girls with Kindle Fire tablets on our trip in October which are already being used in the classroom for English-learning activities. The girls as well as their families are so appreciative! It will make a tremendous impact on their lives.
Each girl in our program receives a new bicycle when they are accepted. This is life changing as well as many walk an hour or more to school. The cost is $175 and 100% of all donations goes to these purchases. A personal thanks to Kathy Reeves from Vancouver and Mary Beth Desautels from Indianapolis for providing much needed bikes for three girls this past month.
Our NINTH girl graduated from our program and starts high school next month. We might take that for granted but for many of these families, our girls are the first one in that family ever to go to high school. It’s a big deal!! We will miss Evelyn (she’s been with us since she was 7 years old) but will support her success in high school the next six years.
